Thank you for shopping Vintage Lucy. Here are our store policies. Please be sure to read and understand them before ordering, and you'll be very happy with your purchases!

Item Condition

Vintage clothing is often very old, worn and loved. I make every effort to hunt down the finest, most flawless pieces, and even have some particularly choice items professionally restored so that they can continue to be enjoyed. All flaws are listed in item descriptions. There may be a few stitches missing from a seam or a hook or eye missing, even though I try to take care of these things before shipping. Cleaning and pressing is left to the new owner. If an item is particularly dirty or soiled that is always mentioned, as are any stains or strong odors. Please allow time for cleaning and alterations if you have events planned for your new vintage beauties.

Measurements

All measurements are taken with garment lying flat.

• Bust: under arm to under arm.
• Waist & hip: side seam to side seam.
• Length: center back base of neck to bottom edge of garment.
• Bodice length: center back base of neck to waistline of garment.
• Arm: top of arm at shoulder seam to end of arm.
• Shoulder width: across upper back arm seam to arm seam.
• Skirt length: waist to bottom edge.

Fitting

All items are pinned or clipped to the mannequin for photos, so choose items based on their actual measurements as listed, and not on their appearance on the mannequin. To ensure a good fit, measure an item of your own and compare it to the measurements of the piece you want to purchase. If you really want an exact fit, buying a bit large and having the item altered to fit you will likely give you the best result.

Vintage Lucy can not accommodate returns on items that don't fit, so please be careful measuring and contact me if you have any questions. Let's make sure your selection will work for you before we ship it out!

Accessories

For photos, items are often embellished with sashes, crinolines, tops, skirts, jewelry, and other accessories. If any of these items are included with the item for purchase, it will be noted in the item description as included - otherwise, the items are for inspiration only.
